Chuck norris quote

"Jesus can do just about anything. He's like a religious icon equivalent of Chuck Norris." Correction... Jesus CAN do anything, and would totally dominate Chuck Norris... you know, if he wanted too...

New Normal

I was so challenged by Greg's message at Elevate "build" night tonight.
Talking about our New Normal. What's your normal? is that God's normal?
Are you only reaching God's normal on a friday and sunday night? or is your normal as high as God's normal?

Looking foward to rebuilding this city, one neighbour at a time, one teacher at a time, one plate of baking at a time.
Thank you Jesus for our New Normal.

Spirit Come...

Only you can

heal the broken heart

Spirit come

Free the sinner

Make them whole again
Spirit come

You give
beauty                             for                                ashes

Joy                                     for                           mourning

Freedom in
the song of praise

Pour out your spirit over us

    Like the falling rain

Open the heavens over us

Fill us once again

Equippers church- Spirit come

To Bek Burke who mentioned me in her blog in a very nice way
To Jesus, because my life wouldn't be what it is without him
To my Life group, Because life is just cooler when you do it with people
To my mum for reminding me of the little stuff that i forget because im a "big picture" person
To Laura Adamson, for letting me cut down on my Rocket hours so that i can learn to cope with this New Normal
And
To Jesus again (why not??) for helping me deal with this "New Normal" in a semi-productive, Semi-lazy kind of way.

my G . O . D is B . I . G

I know i haven't posted on here in a while.... well, life kind of caught up with me.
 Nelson:
its an ok place to be.

Musical was amazing! we saw God move in sooo many ways! We had people who would never step foot inside a church, sitting listening to us, we had people who claim "im not a believer" sitting in our lighting desk night after night, helping (seeds planted no doubt) we had people coming more than once because it was so amazing, and we had a standing ovation, FOR A CHRISTIAN PRODUCTION! God was hardout moving!

Im sad its been rainging pretty much all week!
This is not like Nelson, its just an identity crisis

This is one of my best friends, Karen, she's cool.
I miss her a lot when im in Christchurch, because she always makes me laugh, and always hugs me when im crying, and she lets me feed her McChicken burgers just cause its written on a piece of paper =D
and she always makes time for me.

I love her very much.

so pretty much lifes good right now... except i keep worrying about silly things like where im guna live and who am i guna marry and if im ever guna get a job this summer.

but then i worry about bigger things, like how God's guna save my parents and my brother.

i think these are the things we should be worried about, not worried as in worried, but concerned about, and what our part is guna be in it.

but i love Jesus, he's ma homeboy.

Today my mum woke me up with some sad news,

that my granddaddy passed away this morning.

he was 89

so i reckon he had a pretty good go at life.

this is for him, because i loved him a lot :'(

tomorrow we join the family in Timaru to say goodbye on Wednesday.

i pray that i can be an influence to my family, show them God, and that in this time of heartbreak and trouble, that he's comforting us.

Prayers are appriciated
xx
